Hastula stylata (Hinds, 1844 )
Coquille aux tours presque plats à la forme trapue et au dernier tour large. La bande sous suturale peu visible parfois est de couleur blanc-jaunâtre.

Le motif marron à noir est constitué d'un assemblage de petites flammes. Le reste du tour est gris clair à gris foncé et même noir dans certaines populations.

Ouverture carrée.Vit en eau peu profonde sur le bord des plages.

Taille du spécimen illustré : 30mm

This shell has nearly flat whorls, stocky shape and a large last whorl.
Sometimes the subsutural band is lightly visible and has a yellowish-white color.

The brown to black pattern is made of a gathering of small flames. The remaining of the whorl is light to dark gray, even black with some populations. Squared aperture.

It lives in shallow water, close to the beaches.
