Impages hectica (Linné, 1758)

Le genre Impages est considéré parfois comme un sous-genre de HASTULA.

Térèbre à la coloration très variable allant du blanc, au noir en passant par toutes les variations de brun, mais à la forme caractéristique très large à la base.

Vivant à proximité de la cassure des vagues elles ont rarement leur apex en bon état.

The genus Impages is considerated sometimes like a sub-genera of HASTULA.

This auger has a very variable color from white to black with all brown variations, but with a characteristical shape wich is very large at the base.

It lives where the waves break and their apex is rarely in good condition.

Size of the displayed specimen: 50mm
