Terebra succincta (Gmelin, 1791)

De couleur brun pâle à verdâtre, cette térèbre par la présence d'une sculpture de côtes axiales incurvées ne ressemble à aucune autre espèce actuellement connue de Polynésie française. La suture se caractérise par une bande de nodules clairs serrés et un sillon sous sutural bien marqué.

Taille du spécimen illustré : 22mm

Light brown to greenish colored, this auger, by the presence of a curved axial ribs sculpture, does not look like any other species actually known from French Polynesia. The suture is characterized by a band of compact clear nodules and a highly marked subsutural groove.
