Terebra swainsoni Deshayes, 1859

Elle est souvent confondue avec T.nitida et T.succincta car elle partage le même habitat. La sculpture spirale présente un sillon sous sutural généralement bien marqué par de profondes ponctuations entre les rides axiales et le sillon. De nombreuses fines lignes spirales, sont bien visibles sur la suture et entre les rides axiales, sans les traverser. L'ouverture allongée a une columelle très étroite et un callus pariétal épais.

It is often confused with T.nitida and T.succincta because it lives in the same habitat. The spiral sculpture present a subsutural groove generally highly marked by deep punctations between axial rides, without crossing them. The elongated aperture has a very narrow columella and a thick parietal callus.
