Terebra trochlea Hinds, 1844

Belle térèbre au test blanchâtre à rose avec des tâches éparses, diffuses, parfois coalescentes, de couleur beige clair à fauve.

Elle ne possède pas de sculpture spirale.
La bande sous suturale est bien marquée par un repli périphérique.

Endémique des îles Marquises où elle est récoltée dans les baies abritées au fond de sable noir.

Taille du spécimen illustré : 63mm

Attractive auger with a white to pink colored pattern with scattered, diffused, sometime combined, light beige to tawny blotches. It has no spiral sculpture. The subsutural band is highly marked by a peripherical fold.

Endemic from the Marquesas Islands, it is collected in the sheltered black sand bays.
