Conus aulicus Linné, 1758

Habitat : Inconnu
Discussion : Cette espèce "serait" présente en Polynésie. Cepandant, nous n'avons pas de donnée fiable quant à sa présence réelle, les exemplaires intégrés dans les collections ayant été achetés... Cette espèce serait présente uniquement aux Tuamotu.
Ceci peut paraître bien étrange car c'est une espèce à très large distribution océanique (Océan indien + Pacifique). Nous plaçons donc sa présence comme DOUTEUSE, en l'attente de spécimens récoltés sérieusement.

Discussion : This species shall be present in Polynesia. We never saw any live collected specimen though, but only specimens bought on the markets or at shell dealers. It is said to be present only i nthe Tuamotu. this is very strange because this species is wide spread through the Indian & Pacific Oceans. That's was it s presence has to be confirm and stays doubtful actually. Some specimens are named Conus aulicus but are in fact they are variations of Conus aurantinus...
