Espèce vivant
dans le lagon, en amont du récif barrière. Il vit caché
sous des blocs de coraux morts, le jour, enfoui ou non dans le sable. |
| Discussion
: |
Espèce très
proche de C. magnificus & C. pennaceus. La forme locale
reste très différente de celle de l'océan indien
où elle a été décrite.
Bien que la couleur sombre du fond soit généralement
noir/marron très foncé, certains spécimens ont
un test tirant sur le marron clair. |

This species lives
in the lagoon, close to the reef.
It lives under dead coral plates and is partially ot totally burried
in the sand. |
| Discussion
: |
This species is
very close to C. magnificus & C. pennaceus. Our variatio
nremains different from the Indian Ocean one (where the holotype come
from).
Even if the pattern is most of the time dark brown colored, some specimens
may have a clear brown pattern. |
