Conus imperialis Linné, 1758

Rareté : Commum
Habitat : Espèce côtière et récifale. Le plus souvent exposée durant le jour, ou cachée sous les blocs de coraux morts.
Discussion : Cette espèce possède essentiellement deux variations de couleur : une variation claire et une variation fonçée (photo ci-contre). Les spécimens juvéniles sont assez différents et leur test est pratiquement tout blanc.
Taille moyenne : 50-80 mm
Rarity : Commom
Habitat : This species can be found either at the reef or near the shore. It ca nbe hidden under coral plates or exposed.
Discussion : This species has two main color variations : one is very clear and one very drak (see picture). Juveniles specimens are very different from adult ones by having a pure white pattern.
Average size : 50-80 mm

71 & 60 mm

Specimen juvénile très différent du stade adulte,
Ile de Moorea, trouvé mort dans le lagon. 29 mm
