Conus marchionatus Hinds, 1943

Rareté : Rare - Endémique des îles Marquises
Habitat : Espèce de sable. Présente dès 10m de profondeur.
Comme toutes les espèces de sable elle est récoltée plus facilement de nuit.
Discussion : Cette magnifique espèce très convoitée possède parfois des variations de ses motifs magnifiques avec car par exemple la présence parfois de moins de dix triangles blancs, obtenant alors un specimen avec un test presqu'entièrement marron...
Les spécimens de plus de 45mm sont très recherchés.
Taille moyenne : 30-50mm
Rarity : Rare - Endemic from Marquesas
Habitat : Sand species, found since 10 meters of water.
Discussion : Some variations of this very nice species are really amazing : some specimens may have only one or two white triangles... Big sizes seem hard to get now.
Average size : 30-50mm
