Conus canonicus Hwass in Bruguière, 1792

Rareté : Assez commun
Habitat : Cette espèce est présente sur les principaux récifs, cachée durant le jour dans le sable, sous des blocs de coraux morts dans peu d'eau.
Discussion : C'est une très belle espèce. Le periostracum est très fin et de couleur jaune très clair. Certains specimens ont une teinte bleutée. Les gros specimens de plus de 50mm restent difficiles à obtenir.
Rarity: Moderately common
Habitat :

It occurs on many reefs. It is laying under rocks, or dead cral plates in shallow water, burried or not.

Discussion : This a very nice specie. The periostracum is very thin and light yellow colored. Some have nice blue pattern. Big specimens around 50mm are difficult to find though.

Size : 49.0 mm
