Conus gubernator Hwass, 1792

Rareté : Rare
Habitat : Espèce d'eau peu profonde mais aussi de la zone des 15m, vivant près des herbiers ou dans le sable détritique. Durant le jour, c'est une espèce très difficile à trouver.
Discussion : C'est une très belle espèce de l'Océan Indien. Elle peut varier énormément en couleur et en motifs. Elle peut parfois avoir un test très clair et une absence de motifs la rapprochant de la forme leehmani Da Motta & Röckel, 1979 (mais n'en fait pas partie)
Rarity : Rare
Habitat : Shallow water and deeper among seaweed or sand and coral fragments. It is burowed during daytime and is very difficult to find.
Discussion : It is a very nice species from the Indian Ocean. It may vary a lot in size and its pattern can be sometimes very clear with few spots or bands. It is sometimes close to the leehmani Da Motta & Röckel, 1979 form (but is not related to).
