Conus tessulatus Born, 1778

Rarity : Common
Habitat : It is a shallow water specie. I found many specimens burried in the sand around grass fields in less than one meter of water near the shore during the daytime. Often found along with Conus arenatus. It can be found deeper though.
Discussion : This species is very clear there. The spots are light orange colored. In Tahiti, for comparison, they have red colored spots.

Size : 42.0 mm
