Conus varius Linné, 1758

Rareté : Peu commun
Habitat : C'est une espèce qu ivit près du récif, cachée sous les coraux morts.
Discussion : C'est difficile de trouver des specimens GEM. Aux Seychelles on trouve la variation très claire, qui possède rarement des tâches brunes. Le test a une coloration jaune ou rosé clair la plupart du temps.
Rarity : Uncommon
Habitat : It lives in shallow water near the edges of reefs, under dead corals.
Discussion : This shell is rarely perfect. Finding a GEM specimen is really hard ! In the Seychelles we only find the very clear variation with very few dark blotches. The pattern is usually made of yellow or light pink color.
