Introduction
As you probably know, I have been studying the malacological fauna of the Seychelles since the 2000s. In 2019, I published my first book on the CONIDAE of this archipelago. Since then, other species have been discovered there and have been added to the following versions (2022 and 2023). When we establish an inventory, we have to make choices. Thus, I made the decision to validate the presence of Turriconus acutangulus on the basis of an individual collected dead and that of Lividoconus lishkeanus subroseus on the basis of an example coming from a scientific expedition. During discussions with Alan Jarrett, author of a colossal work published in 2000 on the molluscs of the Seychelles, he doubted the presence of T. acutangulus and considered that relying on a dead specimen was not sufficient.
